| and so summer draws to a close -farewell! goodbye! auf weidersein! | | |
| greetings all from the cold and constantly changing weather hub of Edinburgh, Scotland. it's half term and I've decided to spend it travelling parts of Scotland. it is very nice here, although the weather changes every 20 minutes.
basically, even though I am far away, I still exist. Surprise, surprise.
hope you're all well!

| FAREWELL!
I am off today. So long, farewell, aufweidersein, goodbye! The plane awaits me, as does my scarily obese suitcase. Toodles, noodles!
ANYWAY, my self evaluation from Year 1 Purple at Patana pretty much sums up 2005 for me (as well as the year I was in Y1P), so I thought I'd share. It's kind of cool that I haven't changed much with the basic things - joined up writing, making books, writing books, reading, counting in twos, writing random unrelated sentences at the end of a passage to take up space - since I was... uh... 5ish.

Translation: I like doing joined-up writing and making books and writing books. I can read all kinds of books. I've learnt maths - counting in twos, and I learnt to make new friends. Jupiter's the bringer of happiness.
See ya in 2007.
p.s. HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2006 bring you lots of happiness (just like Jupiter) and joy and grandness. ♥
| I think the only reason I am taking a gap year is for the cheese rolling festivities nearby.

there's something about his face that i find incredibly fascinating. it's like an empty canvas, waiting.
i seem to have a soft spot for silent films, even though i haven't seen all that many. some silent films i like include: the general (1927) - it's one with buster keaton. i want to find some more with him. he's really piqued my interest. un chien andalou (1929) - 16 minute surrealist piece by dali... could you ask for anything else?! the kid (1921) - extremely touching chaplin film. the first silent film i ever saw, when i was about 7 or so at the chaplin museum in switzerland. i liked it then and i haven't stopped liking it since.
